The Stute

The Stute is the student newspaper of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. The Stute publishes every Friday morning, online and print. Once the student publication Stevens Life discontinued in the late 1890s, The Stute published its first issue in 1904, with a mission to chronicle college events, athletic contests, class news, news of the societies, clubs, and fraternities. That mission is not unlike our own today. Our paper covers the most important stories of the university and counts among its ranks some of Americas greatest scientists, mathematicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, artists, and writers. We deliver news to the Stevens and Hoboken community and collaborate with other student organizations to inform readers. We cover campus and university news, Hoboken and national affairs, Science, arts and culture, sports, and much more. The Stute flourishes because of its dedicated staff of undergraduate volunteers.
