Founded by Dr. Kao Kim Hourn and Dr. Haruhisa Handa, The University of Cambodia opened in June 2003, and is officially recognized by the Royal Government of Cambodia, The Ministry of Education Youth and Sport, and the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC). UC is also a member of the Cambodian Higher Education Association and holds the motto, In pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, and building tomorrows leaders.
