The Way Back, Inc

The Way Back, Inc. is a non-profit organization which operates community based transitional residential facilities for men and women ages 18 and over who have a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Founded in 1980, we are one of the oldest mental health housing providers on Long Island and in New York State. The Agency is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. It is the mission of The Way Back to provide the resources to help people with psychiatric disabilities reintegrate into the community and to assist them with their recovery. The agency provides rehabilitative housing services and staff support as a primary mechanism for achieving these goals. We encourage the full participation of residents in their rehabilitation process so they may realize their potential of living productively, cohesively, and happily within the community.
