The Princess Theatre & The Earl Arts Centre Launcestons Home of Live Performance. Theatre North is a not-for-profit performing arts presenter and manager of two of Launcestons most important performing arts venues: The Princess Theatre and the Earl Arts Centre. Our managed venues play a central role in the social, cultural and educational fabric of Northern Tasmania, drawing 90 000 patrons a year to see community live performance alongside national and international artists. Theatre North provides key leadership and support to the arts and cultural sector in Launceston and Northern Tasmania across professional and non-professional sectors. Theatre North is one of Northern Tasmanias largest cultural sector employers, with 62 staff across a 14FTE in technical, front-of-house, ticketing, programming and administration roles, and is a nationally recognised leader in the $1.2B regional touring circuit.
