Tianjin Pipe Group Corporation (TPCO),located in Tianjin Binhai New Area, is a steel pipe base of Chinas energy industry. Its construction started in 1989,hot trial succeeded in 1992 and formal production began in 1996.Its principal product are oil casing and other tubular goods such as high and medium-pressure boiler tube, high-pressure cylinder pipe, hydraulic support pipe, line-pipe and others. In the beginning the most advanced equipment and technology of the early 1990s in steel-making, pipe-rolling, pipe finishing and direct reduction iron were introduced from abroad supported with perfect automatic systems, which made TPCO the best and largest manufacturer of tubular goods in technology and scale in China then.
