Tour de Hongrie

Tour de Hongrie is organised by Vuelta Ltd., owned and managed by Karoly Eisenkrammer. Eisenkrammer was born in Budapest in 1969. He was a professional cyclist until the age of 29, winning 27 national titles in three disciplines: road, track and MTB XCO. He also participated in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. Eisenkrammer founded Vuelta Ltd. in 2001 with Tour de Hongrie as its biggest event. From 2006, the race was not organised for 9 years due to legal problems, but it was relaunched in 2015 and has been growing year on year ever since. As well as being the organiser of the race, Vuelta Ltd. also owns the media and sponsorship rights. Tour de Hongrie is supported by substantial public and municipal funding. The total budget of the race is 4 million per year. The international media distribution partner of the race is Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.).
