Tourism Bay of Plenty is the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) and Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for Te Moananui a Toi, the Coastal Bay of Plenty. Located on the east coast of New Zealands North Island, our region includes the city of Tauranga (featuring the iconic Mauao | Mount Maunganui) and a series of beachside or horticultural towns situated near 125km of Pacific Ocean coastline. These towns include Waihi Beach, Katikati, Papamoa, Te Puke, Whakatane and Ohope. Our region also extends inland to the ancient Whirinaki Forest, near Murupara.
