Township of Terrace Bay

The Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay is a progressive organization responsible for the governance of the Community. Terrace Bay is a rural Township of 1,800 people with a strong business community of 50 businesses that provide all the essential goods and services and more. We have an excellent working relationship with our friendly neighbouring community of Schreiber and their 1,200 residents as well. Terrace Bays economy is driven by the forestry industry with major employer AV Terrace Bay Inc. and its 380 person workforce. The Municipality has a mayor and four councillors that govern with the support of 16 full-time staff in the departments of administration, finance, recreation, maintenance, public works, and library. The Township also has a part-time, casual and seasonal staff component that includes the fire department, tourism and summer students.
