Toyota On The Park

On May 2, 1963, the Inn on the Park was opened by the Four Seasons Hotels Inc. under Chairman Isadore Sharp. Although it was the second for the chain, it was the one that signaled that Four Seasons would become one of the worlds premier luxury hotel businesses. From the beginning it was an overwhelming success, overlooking beautiful park setting and counting among its famous guests, The Queen Mother, The Queen, Rolling Stones, Nikita Kruschev, Guns and Roses, Henry Winkler and Glen Gould, to name just a few. In 1996 it was sold to a Vancouver businessman but was not able to recapture its former glory and gradually slipped into disrepair. In October 2004, it was purchased and the huge task of redeveloping the property carried on in several phases.
