Transfield is a privately owned holding company with a portfolio of businesses focused on infrastructure, renewable energy and industrial services. Transfields current interests include Novatec Solar, Perisher and Sydney Harbour Tunnel. Franco Belgiorno-Nettis established Transfield as a construction contractor in 1956. During its 40 partnership with the Salteri Family the company matured into a pioneer developer and contractor in the engineering and defence sectors, gaining extensive experience through its national and international operations. Transfield listed Transfield Services, its operations and maintenance division, in 2001 and sold its construction business in 2003. Transfield has a proud history of supporting the arts.
