Trees Matter

Trees Matter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization wiith a mission to inspire and promote an increased tree canopy in the Valley, our focus is to help educate and motivate people to plant and care for trees. We help give away over 5,000 trees annually, engaging thousands of community members, and hundreds of volunteers each year. Heres a sampling of the kinds of events we provide that help inspire our mission: Annual Mesquite Pancake Breakfast - a community and fundraising event to showcases mesquite flour and the benefits of the desert tree. Urban Food Forest Program - teaching the public that the trees in the valley provide another function, they are edible! Utility Shade Tree Program - We partner with SRP to provide thousands of free trees along with training so that we can increase the amount of trees in the Valley and cool homes. Trees for Schools - We partner with schools to plant trees so students have a chance to have more benefits that trees provide
