Trident Group was established in April of 2000 and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Trident Group (TG) was founded by U.S. Navy Special Operations personnel (SEAL) and Senior, U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officers, in order to fill an observed gap in security consulting, technology development, technology implementation, and manpower application to the worldwide maritime community. TG initiated maritime services with the training of ship based security Teams in support of vessel Force Protection Operations as well as providing security assessments of critical port facilities. Simultaneously, TG addressed the Piracy problem which plagued the East in areas such as the Malaccan and Singaporean Straights.
