UMCP Gaming

UMCP Gaming is the heart of the gaming community at the University of Maryland. It is a student run organization that holds events for all things videogame related. UMCP Gaming runs on two pillars: the community pillar and competitive pillar. On the community side, the organization creates large events that anyone in the area, not exclusive to Maryland students, can attend. On the competitive side, the organization filters through interested Esports athletes to create the best roster to compete in national events. We believe that Esports and gaming as a whole is a new phenomenon that cannot be ignored. Gaming goes beyond just clicking buttons in accurate and quick succession, but is more about the growth of teamwork and individuality. We are bringing the best out of people by creating a welcoming environment for people to not only get better at their respective games, but create lifelong relationships with each other
