UNC Health Foundation is the fundraising engine that powers philanthropic investment in the University of North Carolinas top-notch medical education, clinical research and healthcare infrastructure. We raise critical funding to train the next generation of expert caregivers, move our world-renowned research from the bench to the bedside and provide the best possible care to people in every county in North Carolina and every corner of the world. Originally chartered in 1949 as a 501(c)(3) charitable not-for-profit organization called the Medical Foundation of North Carolina, Inc., UNC Health Foundation fosters private gift support of programs throughout the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Hospitals.
