Undergraduate Research Opportunities - UBC

Undergraduate Research Opportunities (URO) is a club dedicated to empowering UBC undergraduate students with research experience. We run a variety of programs, events, and services throughout the school year to expand undergraduate and engagement and participation in research at UBC. Our Research EXperience Program leads students through the creation of their own research projects to present at BCs largest undergraduate research conference, regardless of their experience. In November, we host Life Sciences Research Night, where students can network with leading researchers and spark their interest in our life sciences research workshops. For students looking to get involved with a lab, we provide one-on-one assistance from our Research Coaches and host a speed-interviewing night, the Research Involvement Fair. Undergraduates can also get involved in interdisciplinary events such as Prof Coffee Chats, History and Anthropology Night, or the Amazing Research Race
