UNIQA Re is a licensed reinsurer domiciled in Zurich, Switzerland. As a Group-internal reinsurer, UNIQA Re focuses its business activities exclusively on all UNIQA insurance companies. No active reinsurance is offered in the open market. UNIQA Re contributes to the effective risk and capital management within the framework of the Group guidelines. Besides a few exceptions, all obligatory reinsurance treaties of UNIQA companies are assumed by UNIQA Re. In addition, UNIQA Re is managing the run-off business of former Group companies.
