UniverCity Alliance

UniverCity Alliance (UCA) is the front door for local governments to partner with University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty, staff, and students. Our hallmark program, UniverCity Year (UCY), connects UW-Madison courses with community-identified issues that need to be addressed. We also help build connections across the UW-Madison campus for those faculty and staff interested in working with local governments of all sizes, from urban to rural. UCA is a program of COWS, a national think-and-do tank that promotes high road solutions to challenges experienced in localities. These treat shared growth and opportunity, environmental sustainability, and resilient democratic institutions as necessary and achievable complements in human development.
