Our Institute holds the pride of being the first ever Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh, established in the year 1946 by the Government of Composite State of Madras. Later, it became a constituent college of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 1972. Subsequently, the college has made rapid strides under J.N.T. University that came into existence from 20th August 2008 and has been playing a pivotal role in the technological advances of the region. Our college has been accredited by both AICTE and UGC besides being recognized by several national and international funding agencies like World Bank Aid Programme, TEQIP and Indian and Foreign educational institutions.
