Gonabad Higher Education Complex at a glance Efforts to establish a government university unit in Gonabad in 2010 entered a new phase. The then representative of the city in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in a letter to the President, called for the establishment of a government university unit affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. This center, called Gonabad State Higher Education Center, was established in 2010 by the order of the President, the approval of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology and the agreement in principle of the Higher Education Development Council. Currently, Gonabad Higher Education Complex has 24 educational fields. It is hoped that in the next few years, based on the forecasts made according to the strategic plan, in the framework of the resistance economy and the countrys development plans, this complex will solve the problems of the region and be considered as a successful university in Khorasan Razavi
