Youth with a Mission (YWAM) / Ungdom Med Uppgift (UMU) is an international and interdenominational missionary organisation. Our motto and calling is To Know God and Make Him Known. YWAM divides its efforts in three main focuses: Evangelism, Training and Mercy Ministries. YWAM is present in more than 1,000 locations, over 150 countries with about 16,000 people serving as staff. Youth With A Mission Sweden was started in 1976 and has trained and sent out thousands of young and old people into long term or short term missions. The first centre was established 1980 at Restenas (Ljungskile), north of Goteborg. Centres have since then been established in Stockholm (1995), Vilhelmina (2003), Dalarna (2003) and Linkoping (2008). We also have smaller ministry teams in Malmo, and Boras. From our centres we are ministering in Sweden and reaching out to the nations.
