University Police Services, Southern Command (UPD) is responsible for providing police and security services to the College of Southern Nevada, Desert Research Institute, Nevada State University, and University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus communities, along with the southern NSHE System Administrative offices. UPD is a full-service police department with POST Category 1 Police officers.
