UNSW Aviation Society

The UNSW Aviation Society (AvSoc) is an Arc affiliated club at the University of New South Wales. AvSoc caters primarily to students whom are completing a Bachelor of Aviation however students from any faculty or school at the University of New South Wales are welcome to join AvSoc. AvSoc runs student engagement events such as BBQs (both at Kensington and the Flight Operations Unit at Bankstown), party buses, road trips (Wings Over Illawarra) and an end of year ball. To engage students in career prospecting, a yearly Aviation related careers expo is held which features prominent and influential businesses/organisations in the aviation industry, providing students with an insight into the potential future programs they made decide to get involved with. In the past, businesses/organisations such as the AFP, CASA, Menzies Aviation, Qantaslink, Royal Aeronautical Society, Singapore Airlines, Sydney Airport and Virgin Australia have been in attendance.
