UPHCS is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization which serves the 300,000 residents of Michigans Upper Peninsula through collaborative efforts among the network members. UPHCS sponsorships include the Upper Peninsula Poison Crisis Network, the Upper Peninsula Medical Library Consortium and the Upper Peninsula Regional Blood Centers. Network members are currently involved with joint purchasing opportunities, mobile MRI services, education, electronic posting of a physician directory, the U.P. Teleradiology, Teleconferencing and Telemedicine Network and a reference lab network.
