Urban Development Fund (U.D.F)

Urban Development Fund (U.D.F) previously the Informal Settlements Development Fund (I.S.D.F) was established with a prime ministers decree dated 2nd of August 2021 its affiliated to the Prime Ministers cabinet was established with a prime ministers decree on August 2021, to be affiliated by the Egyptian Cabinet. It s considered an economic public authority and has a legal personality. It s permissible, by a decision of the Funds Board of Directors, to establish branches and offices for it in the governors. U.D.F was established to work on the development of urban development areas, work to encourage civil society and the business sector to contribute in-kind and material to urban development work and work to enhance opportunities for international cooperation and exchange of experiences. U.D.F work will focus on four targeted scopes: degraded and unplanned areas, areas of special value and nature, previously used areas with incompatible uses, and urban extension
