USAID Response Leadership Activity

USAID Response Leadership Activity is a USAID funded national capacity building program being implemented across 12 regions and 2 city administrations of Ethiopia to build Disaster Risk Management Professionalization. The project aims to build the next generation of young Disaster Risk Management (DRM) professionals by equipping them with the skills that they need to actively engage in DRM, and creating professional employment opportunities for them to be actively engaged and employed in the DRM system. The activity targets to place 750 recent graduates from DRM and other related disciplines in DRM institutions and organizations to gain practical skills that will enhance their professional capacity and employability. The project seeks to build the youth DRM leaders to address the recurrent and frequent natural and man-made shocks such as drought, flooding, conflict, and disease outbreaks that Ethiopia is facing.
