Uthaan which means upliftment is a Non-Government Organization that has been actively working in areas of Environment management, Ecological Conservation and Sustainability like Vermiculture, Organic Cultivation, Herbal Planting, Animal Welfare, Green Movement, Conservation of Non-Renewable sources of energy, Women welfare, empowering disable and other socio-environmental dimensions of the society. Vision: Uthaansvision is to educate the masses about the critical need for environmental conservation and animal welfare. The strength of Uthaan is a robust volunteer database of over 7000 volunteers, ranging from experts from Environmental and sustainability industry, corporates with their CSR support, corporate employees, individuals, schools, colleges, homemakers etc. and support of MCG/Forest department leaders that have been instrumental in making the projects undertaken by Uthaan in last 16 years a success.
