UTSAV - UBC Indian Students Association

Incepted in 1980, UTSAV - UBC Indian Students Association is proud to be the largest student-run club at the Alma Mater Society of UBC and strives to nurture a welcoming atmosphere for every student here. We resonate with embracing the true spirit of South Asian culture and aim to help students identify with their roots by instilling a sense of home away from home. We organize events of different scales to help students establish strong connections. Each semester we organize a flagship event representing South Asian culture, Diwali and Holi, with a footfall ranging from 500 to 4000 people. Our community is not restricted only to the students at the University of British Columbia, but extends to the diverse regions of Surrey, Victoria and Kelowna in British Columbia. We are open to all students, regardless of race or religion all you need is an interest in all things Indian!
