The NHA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1948 that champions the gold standard of a whole-plant-food lifestyle. We bring together like-minded individuals striving to educate, empower and spread the knowledge that health results from healthful living. We fully recognize the integration and importance of all aspects of health to include personal, environmental, ethical, and social. WHAT WE DO: We take a leadership role in advocating that health freedom results from an exclusively whole-plant-food diet and the results undoubtedly speak for themselves. ELEMENTS OF SUCCESS INCLUDE CONSUMING FOODS THAT ARE: -Whole food, plant-exclusive -Minimally processed -Free of added salt, oil, and sugar Combine this lifestyle with exercise and rest, a healthy environment, psychological well-being, and when indicated, the use of medically supervised water-only fasting.
