Vaccinate Your Family (VYF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1991 by Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter and Former First Lady of Arkansas Betty Bumpers under the name Every Child By Two. It was a response to the U.S. measles epidemic which killed 150 people, many of them young children. Through successful collaborations with national, state, and local immunization partners, VYF has made enormous strides towards removing immunization delivery barriers; reducing economic, ethnic and racial disparities; and educating the public about the importance of timely immunizations and the safety of vaccines
