OVERVIEW OF THE WATER DISTRICT The Valencia City Water District (VCWD) is a corporate entity that operates and maintains a water supply system. It is established on a local option basis and is classified as a government-owned and controlled corporation, performing public service and supplying public need. It is income generating and self-sustaining and does not receive any budgetary allocation from the national government. VCWD is categorized as a Category B water district per Local Water Utilities Administrations Certificate of Category issued on March 14, 2012.
