Vasco da Gama Movement

We are promoting a new generation of Trainees and Junior Family Doctors in Europe, by bringing them together, sharing their experiences, and encouraging education, research and exchange programmes. Vasco da Gama was a great Portuguese explorer, who discovered the sea route towards India almost five hundred years ago. Our network adopted his name, since our members set out for their own exploratory voyage in the discipline of General Practice / Family Medicine (GP/FM) in Europe. The Vasco da Gama Movement (VdGM), is a working network within the European Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA Europe), dedicated to trainees and junior Family Doctors. The Movement functions as a vital network and communication platform that encourages collaboration by providing support and information.
