Current research at the Vehicle Safety Institute at Graz University of Technology focuses on safety of vehicles with different levels of automation, safety of alternatively powered vehicle concepts and development of methods for the evaluation of systems to prevent accidents and reduce injuries. Therefore, basic research in the interdisciplinary fields of Safety Aspects of Electric Energy Storage Systems, Critical Traffic Scenarios, Human Modeling with focus on Trauma Biomechanics and Crashworthiness of (Bio)Materials is carried out.
