Velmar starts its production and distribution activity of own brands of lingerie, beachwear and homewear in 1983. In 1990 Velmar increases its portfolio by cooperating, under license, with some of the most famous Italian fashion brands: Alberta Ferretti, Anna Molinari, Genny, Prada, Ferre, Extee, Byblos, Blugirl, Moschino. In 2001 Aeffe S.p.A. acquired 75% of the ownership of Velmar bringing innovation, production and distribution know-how and increasing its international vocation. In 2010 Aeffe Fashion Group, listed on stock exchange Star segment - , became sole party, operates the definitive organization transformation by optimizing the industrial and commercial activities both inside and in outsourcing.
