Founded in 1930, it is the reference establishment in Alcoy, where several generations of customers of all kinds and ideologies have passed through. This restaurant has been characterised by serving local dishes and tapas and personalising them in its own style, as each generation that has run it has brought new ideas, travel experiences and experiences reflected in both the culinary and decorative aspects, making it a unique and singular place. It has lived through the history of the 20th century from the Monarchy, through the 2nd Republic, surviving the bombings of the Civil War, the Dictatorship and the Transition to the current Democratic Monarchy. All these political and social changes are reflected in every corner of the building.
