Vietnamese American Roundtable

The Vietnamese American Roundtable (VAR) envisions a strong and unified Vietnamese American community that works towards improving our quality of life. To this end, VAR focuses our mission to organize, advocate, and educate our community. We accomplish this through mobilization, advocacy, and education mobilization through events and coalition building, advocacy through empowering and strategy, and education through panels, workshops and cultural events. VARs programs cover three key strategic issue areas: Community Building, Civic Engagement, and Cultural Learning. Since its 2013 inception, VAR was built through the efforts of volunteers, who are bilingual Vietnamese Americans working and volunteering in a variety of different fields. As Vietnamese Americans spanning different generations and backgrounds, our programming is intentionally inclusive to bridge first- and second- generation Vietnamese constituencies with the larger Santa Clara County communities.
