Village of Burr Ridge

Incorporated in 1956, the Village of Burr Ridge has grown into a is a suburb of Chicago, in Cook and DuPage Counties. Burr Ridge experienced significant residential growth between 1970 and 2000, with the Villages population growing from 1,600 to over 10,000 during this period. As a sign of its rapid growth, Burr Ridge became the first municipality in DuPage County to provide Lake Michigan water to all of its residents in 1984. After the residential growth of the late 20thcentury, commercial and retail growth followed, including the development of several large industrial parks as well as County Line Square and Village Center shopping centers, home to boutique shopping, modern health clubs and spas, and fine restaurants and hotels.
