Visit Central Florida is a division of Polk County Government. As Polk Countys official tourism and marketing management organization, we aim to give to give our region a meaningful presence in the global marketplace and benefiting the County. Visit Central Florida promotes Polk County as a tourist destination to increase visitation and economic impact; and to generate revenue from the tourist development tax. Tourism is the states number one industry, and one of Polk Countys top three, and the revenue it generates helps to fund the sales and marketing operations of Visit Central Florida as well as and the development, and improvement, of infrastructure used to attract tourists. Tourism strengthens Polk Countys economy by creating jobs, new revenue and a higher quality of life.
