Visiting Neighbors

Who We Are With more than 40 years of experience, Visiting Neighbors has been helping seniors in New York City, New York, live meaningful and active lives by matching them with one of our dedicated volunteers. Our programs and services help seniors maintain their independence by connecting them with someone who cares. Our volunteers help escort seniors to and from appointments or the grocery store, all while getting to know each other. Our goal is to provide a helping hand to our communitys elderly, who may not have family or friends nearby. Neighbors Helping Neighbors has been the guiding concept behind our organization since our founding in 1972 by eight Greenwich Village community members.
