Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen or Flemish Refugee Action is an independent, non-governmental organization which defends the interests of refugees and asylum seekers. We do so with our 50 members. We can also count on the support of numerous enthusiastic volunteers who donate their services to the cause of the refugees. Flemish Refugee Action wants to make the public aware of the situation of refugees. We demand the human protection of refugees. The Geneva Conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights are our guiding principles.
