Volunteer Tax Assistance Program

The Volunteer Tax Assistance Program (VTAP) is a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. VITA sites are supported by the Internal Revenue Service, and are located throughout the United States. VTAP is a student run service organization. Our main office is located at room 103A, Coffman Memorial Union at the University of Minnesota. VTAP works with student volunteers to offer free tax assistance to low to moderate-income individuals. VTAP was started in 2006, and has continued to grow each year.
