Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Clinic of the Cascades provides healthcare on a donation basis to uninsured and underserved, working adults in Central Oregon We use a community approach, where around 200 in-clinic volunteers and over 300 local medical partners collaborate to provide patients with necessary primary and specialty medical care, prescription medications, mental health care, and/or basic dental care. VIMs patients are 19 years of age or older. The majority have one or more chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, or mental health diagnoses.
