Waitemata District Health Board

Waitemata District Health Board (DHB) serves the largest DHB population in the New Zealand - more than 580,000 people. It is also the second fastest growing of New Zealands 20 District Health Boards. Waitemata District Health Board employs around 6,800 people in more than 30 different locations and manages a budget of over a billion dollars a year, serving residents of Aucklands North Shore, Waitakere and Rodney districts. Waitemata DHB operates North Shore Hospital, on the shores of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, and Waitakere Hospital in west Auckland.
