Wallenius Lines

Wallenius Lines is an investor and active owner within the global shipping industry, specifically the international car and Ro-Ro segment which has become the trademark for Wallenius. In the 1960s, Wallenius pioneered the RoRo concept, first on the North Atlantic trade and later on the Asian trade when Wallenius became the first independent shipping line to work with Japans automobile manufacturing industry. With a strong focus on innovation, Wallenius Lines continued to develop the car transportation concept, with both vessel design projects and logistic solutions. Today, some of the worlds largest car and RoRo networks are included in the investment portfolio: Together with one of the worlds largest shipping company, the Japanese NYK, Wallenius Lines owns 50% of the short-sea shipping line United European Car Carrier, UECC.
