Founded in 1998, Washington Water Trust (WWT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that restores water to Washingtons rivers and streams to ensure quality habitat for salmon, steelhead and the other creatures and communities that depend on abundant, cool, clean freshwater. We craft smart, collaborative solutions to our freshwater challenges that will withstand the test of time in our rapidly changing world. Our approaches include purchasing/leasing water from landowners and water rights holders to protect instream, helping communities plan for long-term water needs while ensuring that enough water stays instream for the environment, exploring forest management practices and wetland/floodplain restoration approaches...
