We believe that everyone should have equal access to a good quality of life but that some people are denied opportunities because of: discrimination, a failure of social, education and economic systems, a lack of finance or simply where they live. At WAP we work with people and communities in Waterford to overcome the impacts of this inequality by offering a free, person-centred, expert led, wrap around service that connects people into opportunities to meet their own personal goals and to improve their quality of life. We do this by developing an individual personal plan at a one to one session, and helping you to take the steps along the way to achieve your goals by offering you a range of options. This could be one, many, or all of the following: social or volunteering activities that benefit you and your community, skills training that increases your prospects of getting a job or a better job, job placement initiatives to try out work in the community & voluntary sector, ...
