Wauwatosa School District

Wauwatosa School District is a high-achieving, forward-thinking, and richly diverse public school district serving about 7,200 students and families. Our educational communitys long history of excellence has been recognized both regionally and nationally. In 2017, the Washington Post named both of our high schools on its Americas Most Challenging High Schools list. The U.S. News and World Report has repeatedly recognized Wauwatosa East High School as one of the Top 25 High Schools in the state and our District has routinely Exceeded Expectations on state Report Cards issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Our District consists of 16 schools: 11 elementary, two middle schools, two high schools and the Wauwatosa Virtual Academy. Among our schools are Wauwatosa Montessori and Wauwatosa STEM.
