As an eight year old, Rich Cohen was a fixture in his grandfathers market in Springfield, MA, adding up grocery orders on a paper bag a first indication of his love of numbers and the business. That market, Waverly Market, would become the foundation and inspiration for his company, Waverly Markets, LLC, owners and operators of ShopRite of Manchester, ShopRite of East Hartford, and ShopRite of Tri-City Plaza. Following the example of his grandfathers and his father, Stan Cohen, Rich and his wife Kye have made it their business to continue the tradition of families feeding families. Rich and Kyes daughter, Jordan Coe, was named President in 2018 after almost 20 years of service to the company. Two of Jordans three brothers have been fixtures in the business over the years, with Alex dedicating 15 years and Zach joining the company more recently after a multifaceted career between Boston and New York.
