Wessex Cancer Support

We provide free and local emotional support to anyone affected by cancer in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. Clients may have cancer themselves, be adjusting to life after cancer, supporting someone with cancer, or be bereaved. Through our four cancer support centres in Chandlers Ford, Bournemouth, Waterside (Hythe) and Newport (Isle of Wight), we offer a drop-in service, professional counselling, complementary therapies, activities, support groups and courses. We have weekly drop-in sessions in Andover and are developing new online services so local people can access support in the way that suits them best. We also run services in the heart of the community, including our popular Sing for Life choirs and transport on our Daisy Buses to help Isle of Wight and Channel Island patients get to their hospital appointments on the mainland.
