WEST Brewery

WEST is Scotlands favourite independent brewery and the only brewery in the UK to brew all of its artisan lagers and wheat beers in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, the ancient German Purity Law dating from 1516. The law prescribes only the use of four basic ingredients in brewing water, malt, hops, and yeast. No chemicals. No preservatives. No artificial flavours. The only additive is the time required to ensure the perfect pint. WESTs flagship beer, St Mungo Lager, can be found at over 3000 outlets across the UK, as well as in packaged format across several major Supermarkets in Scotland. In 2018, a number of new packaged beers were released including fan favourites, Heidi Weisse and Munich Red. In 2016, following a decade in business, WEST opened a new 5million brewery, housed in the same premises within the iconic Templeton Building on Glasgow Green.
