Westbourne Academy

Westbourne Academy is an 11-16 school in Ipswich Suffolk. Built in the 1930s as separate boys and girls schools, it has gone through many changes over time (including a High School and a specialist Sports College). It converted from a Local Authority school to an Academy under the Academy Transformation Trust in February 2013. Westbourne Academy is a calm and happy school. We are an inclusive academy. We support all students, regardless of their starting point, to achieve their potential and develop the skills necessary for employment and life. Westbourne Academy is not just a school it is a microcosm of the world with students and staff from all around the globe. Between them, they speak 32 languages and their differing perspectives on learning and life makes this a unique academy.
